First of all, before winter comes, the excavator must be fully inspected and the appropriate diesel oil needs to be replaced. Due to the relatively low temperature, it is best to use diesel with a lower freezing point in winter. The freezing point is preferably about 5°C lower than the ambient temperature. Remember that when changing diesel, the fuel system should be cleaned. In high-cold areas, choose antifreeze engine oil, and clean the oil filter when replacing it.
Secondly, excavators also need to pay special attention to battery maintenance in winter, and the time for regular inspection and charging should be shortened appropriately. You also need to pay attention to the keep warm measures of the battery. You can cover it with a thermal cover and park it in a warm and wind-proof room after work. You can also choose to remove the battery and store it in a warm place. If green oxide appears on the battery, it should be cleaned in time. If it is washed with water, the water must be dried and then sprayed with protective agent.
Under low temperature conditions, the cooling system still needs maintenance. In winter, antifreeze is generally added to the excavator cooling system. Special attention needs to be paid to the replacement cycle of many antifreezes. At most, it is necessary to check whether the antifreeze is normal every winter. Needs to be replaced.
In winter, the temperature is relatively low. In most areas, the excavator will be idle for a long time. Before placing it, you should check the fan air-conditioning belt and keep the wiper away from the windshield to prevent freezing. Another little tip is that when cleaning the glass, you need to add antifreeze to the water bottle so that it won't freeze.
